We underwent our CQC inspection in Dec 2015.
We were rated as good in many areas; were praised for the excellent work we had completed to date since the merge the year prior, it was noted that we needed to improve in one area which was safety.

Please note that since the introduction of the friends and family test in 2014, Pimlico Health has taken the strategic decision to utilise the tool of supplied by “iWantGreatCare”. Currenty we have >700 patients reviews, with an overall rating of 5 stars on the Friends and Family Test.
We have been comended by LMC for and CQC the way the practice embraced this approach through the use of the portal show we care what our patients think, and that their views based on their experiences matter to our practice.
Due to NHSE not correctly altering NHS Choices page to reflect our approach to patients feedback, we no longer signpost patients to this, nor do we reply to comments on there.
The practice has a duty of care to report all feedback monthly to NHSE and the “iWantGreatCare” allows us to fulfil that requirement as part of our contract.
The practice has been working hard over the last 6 months to improve its NHS Choices ratings, and level of input from patients on this feedback platform, currently sitting at 55 published forms of feedback.
While the practice has recognised that not all feedback is published, it continues to improve the rating, taking it from 2 stars 12 months ago to 3 stars currently.
The practice would like be rated 4 stars for delivery of care and health services by 2018.
The practice has taken the initiative to create the NHS Choices template onto card to allow patients to give their feedback in writing and the practice uploads on their behalf, thus ensuring that those who do not have access to internet, or do not have technical skills, still have an opportunity to give feedback.

Private Fees 2017_2018
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
Please note we only accept cash for Non-NHS services. We do not currently accept credit/debit cards.
Payment must be made only at the reception desk, and not in clinical rooms, the receptionist will issue you a receipt upon completion of the transaction.
For all private letters of private sick notes patients are required to read the following policy and complete the dosument attached below, enusring it is handed in at reception or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
Private Form - Patient to Complete
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations.
These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine.
Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.
This is because NOT ALL travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

Pimlico Health at the Marven has an aim to become the diabetic hub for South Westminster.
We are currently delivering care planning and diabetic management for >500 patients and are now managing the care for the >400 who have been identified as at risk of diabetes.
What have we done to date?
Creating Diabetic appointments with Practice Lead GP, Lead Nurse, and Health Care Assistants.
Delivering blood tests & urinary analysis in house 6 days a week
Referral on to Retinal Eye screening
Weekly Clinics in house, delivered by:

Healthy Hearts sessions (6-10 week programmes) available
Every Friday in the surgery.
Addressing such matters as healthy eating, better cooking, Smoking, Stress.

As part of the NHS National Diabetic Prevention Programme we will be referring all patients at risk to this programme.
Patients will undergo 9 months of mentoring and monitoring to reduce any further risks of an onset of diabetes.
We will be running 1-2-1 sessions with Dietician and other such specialists in this field every Monday. Alongside this will be running group support forums, where patients can come together to share experiences and help encourage each other on Saturdays.
Most people would be shocked to know that around 22,000 people with diabetes die early every year. Type 2 diabetes is a leading cause of preventable sight loss in people of working age and is a major contributor to kidney failure, heart attack, and stroke.
As well as the human cost, Type 2 diabetes treatment accounts for just under nine per cent of the annual NHS budget. This is around £8.8 billion a year.
There are currently five million people in England at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. If these trends persist, one in three people will be obese by 2034 and one in 10 will develop Type 2 diabetes. However, evidence shows that many cases of Type 2 diabetes are preventable.
There is also strong international evidence which demonstrates how behavioral interventions, which support people to maintain a healthy weight and be more active, can significantly reduce the risk of developing the condition.
The Healthier You: NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NHS DPP) will identify those at high risk and refer them onto a behavior change programme.
The NHS DPP is a joint commitment from NHS England, Public Health England and Diabetes UK.

Interface: Slick and elegant, BG Monitor is a breeze to navigate.
Usability: Track everything, calculate how much insulin you need, set reminders, and create spreadsheets and graphs of your data. You can also organize all of your entries with tags.
